Countdown Begins for Aquaculture UK 2026 in Glasgow

Registration is now open for Aquaculture UK 2026, the country’s premier aquaculture event, which promises a record-breaking exhibition of the latest technologies when it debuts at its new Glasgow venue this June.

Organizers have confirmed that event will relocate from its traditional home in Aviemore to the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow for its 2026 edition, taking place on June 16-17. The move to Scotland’s largest city is designed to accommodate surging demand for exhibition space and improve international access, reflecting the event’s growth as a global hub for the sector.

This year’s show is shaping up to be a critical window into the future of production systems, digitalisation, and environmental management.

Next-Gen Production Tech at Aquaculture UK 2026

This year’s exhibition floor will feature a host of first-time exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge solutions designed to solve some of aquaculture’s most pressing challenges:

  • Salar Pursuits will introduce its Smoltscreen system, a semi-open containment technology designed to create a physical barrier against sea lice, jellyfish, and harmful algal blooms, offering an alternative approach to traditional open-net pens.
  • OptoScale is set to demonstrate its bioscope technology, which provides real-time, precise measurement of fish weight and condition using underwater imaging and AI, enabling farmers to optimise feeding regimes and improve stock management without handling the fish.
  • Oceanbox will present its ocean intelligence capabilities, utilising data analytics to help producers map and mitigate the environmental impact of farming operations.

Global Tech Hubs on Display

The event will also feature a strong international contingent, providing a snapshot of global supply chain excellence. Alongside returning pavilions from Chile, Canada, and Denmark, the 2026 show will welcome new national delegations from Norway and Ireland. These pavilions will offer attendees a chance to explore the engineering, equipment, and technical expertise driving aquaculture in these key regions.

Knowledge Transfer and Industry Dialogue

Beyond the exhibition floor, Aquaculture UK will host dedicated forums for technology transfer and debate. The Innovation Theatre returns as a platform for start-ups and researchers to launch new scientific concepts, while the Keynote Theatre will feature a conference programme exploring the dominant themes in global aquaculture.

Industry leaders have already highlighted the event’s value for relationship-building and business development. Kate Archer at Underwater Contracting Ltd (UCL) noted the “great buzz” of the previous event, while Tara McGregor-Woodhams, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Ace Aquatec, emphasised that “Aquaculture UK is a great place to do business, make new connections with suppliers and vendors, and network with industry peers.”

Celebrating Sector Achievement

The industry will also come together to recognise excellence at the Aquaculture Awards gala dinner, taking place on the evening of Tuesday, June 16, at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel. Nominations are open until March 9.

Cheri Arvonio, Event Director at organiser Diversified Communications, underscored the event’s evolution: “We will be in our new home in Glasgow but the old magic that makes this a not-to-be-missed event will still be there… From the familiar faces who are the backbone of the sector to the next generation inventors, scientists, leaders and business brains, Aquaculture UK embraces the whole industry in all its ambition and vision.”
