A specialised Aquatic MEA Conference will take place on 24 November 2025, just one day before the opening of VIV MEA 2025, the region’s leading trade show for animal husbandry and aquaculture.
Organised in cooperation with International Aquafeed and supported by the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the one-day conference will bring together regional and international stakeholders to address pressing challenges and opportunities in aquaculture across the Middle East and Africa.
The event will focus on three key themes critical to the region’s food and climate resilience:
- Food security concerns,
- Strengthening local seafood production, and
- Innovative solutions to overcome climate-related challenges in aquaculture.
The Aquatic MEA Conference will serve as a high-level platform for sharing insights, exchanging ideas, and showcasing forward-thinking solutions tailored to the needs of the MEA aquaculture sector.
Opportunities for Exhibitors
Exhibitors at VIV MEA or within the Aquatic MEA pavilion are invited to expand their visibility and influence by participating in the conference as speakers. Several conference packages are available, offering companies and industry leaders the chance to present their innovations, share case studies, and engage with key decision-makers.
Held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the conference is expected to attract aquaculture professionals, government representatives, and sustainability advocates from across the region and beyond.
The initiative underscores the growing importance of aquaculture in addressing the dual challenges of climate change and food supply, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions like the Middle East.
More information on participation and speaking opportunities will be available through the official VIV MEA communication channels in the coming weeks.
