Danish aquaculture companies are uniting to showcase innovative solutions at Aqua Nor, a key industry event taking place from August 19 to 21 in Trondheim, Norway. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and efficiency, 45 Danish exhibitors are set to demonstrate their latest advancements in the aquaculture sector.
Denmark aims to be the leading country in providing sustainable and efficient solutions for the global aquaculture industry. This ambition is fueled by the Danish culture of collaboration, allowing companies to work closely together. “The Danish culture of collaborating is strong, and at Aqua Nor, visitors will experience how the companies know each other well and can refer customers to other companies that have the exact solution that they need,” says Martin Winkel Lilleoere, Head of Fish Tech at Danish Export Association.
Among the exhibitors is FREA Solutions, a prominent player in the aquaculture market. Originating from a fish farming background, the company specialises in technology and recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) for trout farming. By developing and testing solutions in their facilities, FREA Solutions prioritises innovation while adhering to the principles of “keeping it simple” and “making it work.”
“At Aqua Nor, we will be ready to share news about our new RAS module for cost-effective and profitable farming of large trout on land,” states Jeppe Mortensen, sales and business development at FREA Solutions.
Another exhibitor, ROTEK, is excited to unveil solutions resulting from close cooperation with fellow Danish companies. Their latest invention—a facility for handling by-products from fish farming—was developed with expertise from Landia, Busch Vacuum Solutions, and Kroma. “When collaborating, we can bring together our strengths and we can deliver much more complete turn-key solutions than we could if each one of us were just to provide some components to the end-customer,” explains Allan Holden, Sales Manager at ROTEK A/S.
