The programme for the Aquatic Asia Conference, due to be held on March 14th at VIV Asia, has now been finalised!
The event is running from 09:00-15:30, and will be followed by a informal cocktail networking afternoon. The conference will feature industry expert speakers from Harper Adams University, Bühler, Phileo, Olmix Group, Lallemand, Darling Ingredients and many more companies.

Keynote speaker, Dr Simon Davies, states:
The shrimp farming sector warrants special considerations, given the expansion of the industry with expectations that aquaculture will need to produce over 65 percent of seafood production in the next two decades to meet global demand. It is imperative that the vigour of stock be improved to raise hatchery production, survival and growth performance. Shrimp production has been constrained in recent times by various pathogens such as white spot and EMS, causing serious economic losses.
In this regard, nutrition and feed will play an ever-increasing role. It is well recognised that established and emerging diseases in shrimp can be minimised via optimal diet formulations to include various supplements and additives (e.g. prebiotics, probiotics) that can enhance immune response and be supportive of the physiology and metabolism of shrimp under intensive rearing conditions.
This VIV Aquaculture Asia 2019 event will therefore bring leading stakeholders together to discuss the science, technology and commercial aspects of the shrimp sector within a specialised forum. Speakers from academia and industry will present a range of topics of interest underpinning the contemporary developments in this rapidly growing field.
