Nutreco has announced that Maarten Bijl will take over as CEO of Skretting starting September 1, 2025. He succeeds Bastiaan van Tilburg, who is set to become CEO of Nutreco following David Blakemore’s departure.
Bijl brings 16 years of experience from SHV companies, including his recent role as Chief Digital Officer, a position he held for the past year. Before that, he was the Managing Director of Trouw Nutrition North America for three years. Throughout his career, Bijl has managed businesses across various sectors and regions, contributing to Nutreco’s digital transformation efforts.
“Having spent over a decade in regional general manager roles in different continents, and the last 4.5 years at Nutreco, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the Skretting team and business, and I’m impressed by what I see,” Bijl stated. “The relevance of aquaculture in the food chain and in our global challenge of feeding the future should not be underestimated. I’m excited and honoured to work with our team around the world to meet the needs of our customers and drive growth in our business through high-quality feed, product innovation, and digital solutions.”
Nutreco will soon announce Bijl’s successor, and in the meantime, he will manage both roles.
