Mowi achieved record revenues of EU€1.6 billion and operational EBIT of EU€231 million in the second quarter of 2026. The record revenues were driven by strong biological and operational performance and record-high harvest volumes. Combined with lower costs, this resulted in operational EBIT of EU€231 million, an increase of 23 percent compared with the same quarter in 2025.
Mowi delivered a seasonally record-high 150,000 tonnes of salmon in the second quarter, representing a 7.4 percent year-on-year increase.
Mowi CEO Ivan Vindheim said the company’s farming operations continued to deliver strong biological and operational results. The Norwegian and Scottish operations performed particularly well, achieving record volumes and lower costs.
Vindheim said the results demonstrated continued progress against Mowi’s growth strategy. Volume growth is one of the company’s strategic pillars, with farming operations expanding strongly in recent years. Mowi has grown from a 400,000-tonne producer to a 600,000-tonne producer in just a few years.
He added that limited supply growth is expected across the industry in the years ahead. Combined with continued strong underlying demand for salmon, this is expected to create a more balanced supply-demand situation than seen over the past 18 months, supporting a positive market outlook.
Following a period of low salmon prices caused by exceptionally high industry supply, salmon prices increased by 6 percent in the second quarter and by 21 percent so far in the third quarter compared with 2025. The increases were driven by strong demand across several markets and a normalisation of industry supply growth.
Mowi Consumer Products, the Group’s downstream processing business, also delivered a strong quarter, with seasonally record-high revenues and volumes of 74,000 tonnes, up 14 percent from the same period last year. Mowi Feed, the Group’s feed division, recorded a seasonally record-high quarter for revenues and sales volumes, driven by strong growth in the company’s farming operations.
