In a significant boost for responsible seafood farming, 18 feed mills across 12 countries have been certified under the ASC Feed Standard from January to mid-July 2025. This milestone indicates a growing commitment to sustainable feed production in the aquaculture industry.
The newly certified feed mills come from a variety of nations, including Norway, Japan, Ecuador, the UK, Australia, Canada, Chile, Vietnam, Spain, Italy, Honduras, and Costa Rica. Notably, three feed mills from Skretting in Australia, Japan, and Italy have made history as the first in their respective countries to achieve this certification.
ASC-certified feed producers are actively addressing the environmental and social impacts of their supply chains. Their efforts include responsibly sourcing ingredients such as soy and fishmeal and ensuring fair labour practices.

The list of certified feed mills includes:

- Cargill: Norway, Chile, the UK (Scotland), Ecuador
- BioMar: Costa Rica, Norway
- Salmones Antártica Feed: Chile
- Nosan: Japan
- Grobest: Vietnam
- Nutreco: Vietnam
- CP Vietnam Corporation: Vietnam
- Vitapro: Honduras

ASC-certified farms must ensure they are using ASC-conforming feed by 31 October 2025 to maintain their certification. This commitment underscores the crucial role of responsible feed in the future of farmed seafood.
