The University of Plymouth, in partnership with dsm-firmenich, has announced Beth Bower as the recipient of the 2025 dsm-firmenich Excellence in Sustainable Aquaculture and Fisheries Award, recognising her outstanding academic achievements in the MSc Sustainable Aquaculture and Fisheries programme.
The award, which includes a GB£2000 prize sponsored by dsm-firmenich, is presented to the student achieving the highest overall mean grade in the 2024–2025 cohort. Beth’s performance reflects not only academic excellence but also a strong commitment to sustainable practices in aquaculture and fisheries.
Professor Daniel Merrifield, Course Leader, commented: “Beth has demonstrated remarkable dedication and academic excellence throughout the programme. Her performance has been consistently outstanding, and she should be incredibly proud of this achievement. It is a pleasure to recognise her success with this award.”
