A group of 26 Danish companies will present aquaculture technologies and solutions at Aquasur 2026, highlighting equipment and systems designed to support the growing fish farming sector in South America.
Organised by the Danish Export Association, the Pavilion of Denmark will bring together suppliers from across the aquaculture value chain to strengthen partnerships and explore new business opportunities in Chile and the wider South American market. South America is a growing market for international and Danish aquaculture suppliers to the aquaculture industry, and Aquasur is an important trade fair for companies looking to expand their export activities in the region.
“We have brought Danish exhibitors at the Pavilion of Denmark to Chile and Aquasur for many years, and it’s always a great place to be. This fair is where the most important stakeholders meet and Danish companies covering the entire value chain will present their products and solutions,” said Martin Winkel Lilleoere, head of Fish Tech at the Danish Export Association.
Among the exhibitors is Simatek Bulk Systems, which specialises in mechanical conveying systems designed to handle fragile products such as fish feed. The company has operated in South America for more than 30 years and says interest is growing among fish farmers seeking systems that reduce feed breakage during handling.
According to Jakob Schou Jensen, key account manager at Simatek Bulk Systems, damaged feed pellets can lead to waste and contribute to water pollution in aquaculture operations. Many producers are therefore looking for gentler conveying technologies that maintain feed quality from production to feeding.
Another Danish exhibitor, FoulingCure, will present a patented system that cleans plate heat exchangers during operation, helping aquaculture facilities maintain energy efficiency while avoiding chemical cleaning processes.
The Pavilion of Denmark at Aquasur 2026 will feature companies offering solutions including pumping systems, filtration, UV disinfection and processing equipment, reflecting Denmark’s role as a supplier of advanced aquaculture technology to the global aquaculture industry.
