Indo Fisheries 2027 Builds Global Connections

Indo Fisheries Expo & Forum is strengthening its international engagement as it prepares to bring together fisheries and aquaculture professionals in Surabaya in July 2027, creating new opportunities for Indonesian businesses to connect with global markets.

The international trade environment that Indonesia’s fisheries and aquaculture industries operate in is constantly changing due to shifting consumer demands, trade regulations, and heightened competition among nations that produce seafood. In light of this, Indo Fisheries 2027 seeks to give companies a venue to investigate industry prospects, make global alliances, and learn about advancements throughout the global seafood value chain.

Opportunities for Indonesian seafood exports have also been brought to light by recent trade developments. Indonesian seaweed and agar-agar goods continue to enjoy a 0% Most-Favored-Nation tax and are not subject to an additional 10% Section 301 tariff imposed by the United States, according to the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia. More access to the US market might be supported by these circumstances.

Exporters can also benefit from other seafood items. While crab and tuna enjoy favourable tariff conditions, Indonesian prawns is subject to a total tax of roughly 13.90% in the US market. Products like tilapia, octopus, squid, and cuttlefish also have the potential to grow internationally.

The Indo Fisheries team will continue to broaden its global network as it gets ready for the 2027 edition by travelling to Singapore from September 2-4, 2026, to attend a significant seafood show. The team will be able to interact with buyers, associations, international seafood firms, and industry players during the tour, all the while keeping an eye on developments and spotting possible joint venture prospects.
The international engagement is a component of Indo Fisheries’ larger initiatives to foster more communication between Indonesia’s fishing industry and other markets and to fortify business ties prior to the expo.

The upcoming Indo Fisheries Expo & Forum will be held at Grand City Convex in Surabaya, Indonesia, from July 21–23, 2027. The event will take place in conjunction with Indo Vet 2027, Indo Livestock, Indo Feed, and Indo Dairy.

With 5,169 square meters of exhibition space, the organisers anticipate that the combined event will draw about 300 exhibitors from 30 nations, including 10 foreign country pavilions. about the course of three days, about 15,000 professional visitors are anticipated.
Through its international outreach and upcoming exhibition, Indo Fisheries 2027 aims to strengthen connections across the global fisheries and aquaculture value chain while supporting new opportunities for trade, investment and collaboration.
