Jetfeeder has secured patent protection in Vietnam from the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IP Vietnam), marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into Asia and strengthening its presence in one of the world’s leading shrimp-producing countries.
The announcement comes as Vietnam’s shrimp exports reached a record US$4.6 billion in 2025, representing a 19 percent increase compared with the previous year.
According to the company, the patent recognises the distinctiveness of its automatic aquaculture feeding technology, which is designed to improve production efficiency and feed optimisation in shrimp and fish farming operations.
Gary Schaffer, CEO of Aquaculture Feeding Systems, said the patent approval validates the company’s commitment to innovation and provides Vietnamese producers with access to its feeding technology.
Vietnam represents an important step in Jetfeeder’s growth beyond its established markets in South and Central America, according to Founder and Chairman Luke Landers, as the company continues to expand into new regions.
Jetfeeder’s automatic feeding system is designed with a simplified user interface and is supported by a global service network, including offices in Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, India and the Philippines. The company says it provides round-the-clock technical support to customers as it expands its patent-protected technology into new aquaculture markets.
