Tidal, a smart aquaculture technology company, has appointed Preben Matre as Senior Solutions Consultant, strengthening its Customer Success team in Norway.
Matre’s appointment follows recent hires including Senior Sales Executive Kristine Langaunet and Commercial Director Anders Fossøy. He brings previous experience as Commercial Lead Health at Benchmark.
Tidal, which spun out from Alphabet’s Moonshot Factory earlier this year, continues to expand its operations, focusing on providing customers with insights derived from real-time data. The company aims to support the adoption of data analysis and AI in the aquaculture industry, a sector Matre is passionate about.
“Tidal aims to be a key partner in driving technological progress in the industry,” said Matre. “I’m excited to contribute to a more sustainable food system, especially at a time when it is needed most.”
According to Fossøy, Matre’s experience in integrating customer relationships with data will be crucial as the company experiences growing market interest. Tidal, which operates in both Norway and Silicon Valley, is backed by several investors, including Ichthus Venture Capital and Kverva.
